Exp 2 Week 3

Light Medium Dark I kept a large part of the model white, not out of laziness, but in reference to Oscar Niemeyers's predominately white structures. The ribs under the rail and the stairs are inspired by Benedetta's complex and intense geometrical patterns. The white columns correlate to Niemeyer's pillar/column imagery that dominates some of his work Every single person here is Asian, which further empowers an authentic UNSW experience. Choosing this design involved the consideration of Oscar Niemeyer's use of column and pillar like imagery. The curvilinear part of the model includes inspiration from Benedetta's more organic looking structures Implementation of my model into the Kensington model. These pictures provide an insight into my first steps in implementing the lightrail to my model. This involves placing stairs for accessibility and people, which measures scale.

Concepts Oscar Niemeyer  - Most of his structures have a common concept which is the use of column-like imagery Water reflects and extends parallel imagery Water reflects images, makes a structure look twice its size Flicking outwards looks like an eruption Dynamics supports make a building crawl on legs Large glass piece creates a reflective panel   Benedetta Tagliabue Tiled, organic and warped shapes look snake-like Triangular shaping creates a geometrical structure and feel Hexagonal tiles made up of small hexagonal tiles create a unique geometric shell Walls that are weaved create a distinct cultural atmosphere Sketches & Lumion Renderings
